Beta Tools UK are delighted to announce their partnership with 12 year old Ross Turner from RedRat Racing. Unlike most 12 year olds, Ross spends his weekends during the racing season hurtling round a track on his motorbike. Ross learned to ride a motorcycle at the age of 2 and has been competing in various race series all over Europe since the age of 6 including a full season last year in Spain. For 2017 Ross has joined the HEL Performance British Motostar Championship Standard Moto 3 class which is one of the support series for the MCE British Superbike Championship. Their races take place on the same tracks and on the same weekends as the BSB itself and at 12 years old, Ross will be one of the youngest competitors in his class. Beta Tools with its head office in Italy, have a long and proud history with motorsport and have worked with all the major teams in MotoGP, World Superbike, F1 and many others. Head of Sales for Beta Tools UK Martin Bryers says “We are delighted to be working with Ross and his team this year. For many years they have used Beta products in their workshop and it was a natural progression for us to be more involved.” He also added “We decided to work with Ross for 2017, not only is he young and enthusiastic but he is also a local lad which was important for us”. Ross’s new bike is powered by a 250cc engine and has a top speed in excess of 130mph which would be quite daunting for others of his age but Ross takes it all in his stride. As well as the racing, like most youngsters he enjoys playing on his games console and when he’s not competing, takes to his mountain bike for fun and exercise. Ross and his family live in Broseley where dad Simon dedicates his time to managing the team and working on the bikes keeping them in tip top condition for racing and mother Suree, an award winning chef and author, takes the helm at family owned King & Thai restaurant.
